Annual reporting
A producer must report the information stipulated in the decrees to the Finnish Authority annually concerning e.g. the amount of
equipment put on the market, the amount of recycled equipment, and the amount of
exported, collected, and utilised waste.
The Finnish Authority collects national statistics and
reports of the information reported by producers and producer organisations,
submitted regularly to the European Commission.
A fee based on the Act on Criteria for Charges Payable to the State is
collected from producers and producer organisations for checking and processing
the reported information.
Producer organisation reports on behalf of member company
A producer that has joined the producer organisation need not report to the authority. All members of SELT Association, ICT Producer Co-operative and FLIP Association submit annual reports concerning previous year to Elker once a year.
Annual reporting starts in Mid-February. Reporting deadline is Mid-March. Link to the reporting form is sent to the reporting contact person by email. No password is needed to access the form.
Member companies give following information on the annual report:
- Products suitable for household use (B2C) put on the market in Continental Finland
- Products only for company/professional use (B2B) put on the market in Continental Finland
- Products put on the market in Åland Islands (B2C+B2B)
- Distance selling from Finland directly to households in other EU countries (e.g. mail order or electronic commerce)
All amounts on annual report should be given kilos.
Members are not invoiced according to annual report. With the annual report, producer organisations collect information for the authority. Producer organisations report on behalf of their members to the Finnish Authority.
