Producer organisations

Elker Ltd is a service company established by the producer organisations SELT Association, ICT Producer Co-operative, and FLIP Association. According to the law, the producer responsibility of producers can be transferred to a producer organisation. The above producer organisations have transferred obligations, by agreements, to Elker Ltd.

Taking care of obligations

Elker Ltd is liable for its owners' obligations in such a manner that the obligations set out in the EU's WEEE directive and the corresponding obligations of the Finnish legislation are fulfilled. Benefits based on co-operation

As a member of a producer organisation a company can benefit from administrative, volume and logistics synergies arising from collective procurement and can affect the procurement of these services. Moreover, the member company of a producer organisation need not submit separate notices to the register maintained by the supervising authority Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment for Pirkanmaa.

Joining as member in a producer organisation

A producer can join in as a member in only one of the producer organisations. Correct producer organisation is chosen by defining under which producer organisation's product categories most of the company's products belong to.
